Levy Design Partners is excited to announce the promotion of Mary Ruppenthal to the position of Senior Associate. Mary is a licensed Architect and has been with LDP for three years. In that time she successfully managed numerous projects, including public projects for the San Francisco Unified School District as well as the San Francisco Housing Authority.
Sustainable design is method of integrating the design and construction of buildings to reduce energy and water consumption, improve indoor air quality, be sensitive to site development issues, incorporate environmentally friendly building materials, and many other factors.
By adopting these goals and strategies, we can maximize both energy efficiency and environmental performance. While sustainable design methods can be integrated into projects at any stage, we endeavor to obtain the most significant benefits by taking an integrated approach from the earliest stages of a building project.
LEED™ (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the rating system that provides the national standard for sustainably designed buildings as developed by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Levy Design Partners recognizes the vast impact architecture and the construction industry have on the environment, human health, and the economy, and currently has two LEED Accredited Professionals on staff.
